PPR Pipes

Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPR) is a type of plastic piping material that is becoming increasingly popular for hot and cold water supply lines due to several advantages.

Advantages

  • Durability: PPR pipes are resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and wear and tear. They can last for 50 years or more with proper installation and maintenance.
  • High temperature resistance: PPR pipes can withstand continuous water temperatures up to 90°C (194°F) and even higher short-term bursts. This makes them suitable for both hot and cold water applications.
  • Leak-proof joints: PPR pipes are joined together using heat fusion, which creates a strong, permanent bond that is virtually leak-proof.
  • Lightweight: PPR pipes are lightweight and easy to handle, making them ideal for both residential and commercial plumbing applications.
  • Freeze-thaw resistance: PPR pipes can withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20°C without cracking or breaking.
  • Low thermal conductivity: PPR pipes have low thermal conductivity, which helps to minimize heat loss in hot water lines.
  • Easy to install: PPR pipes can be easily cut and joined together using heat fusion techniques. No threading, gluing, or soldering is required. Ideal for traditional installations, modular installations and prefab walls.
